Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Enjoys being part of an Action-oriented team committed to continuous improvement and provides a collaborative approach to achieve these goals 
  • Analyze and reconcile GL accounts for accuracy 
  • Classifies and/or reviews recording of routine to complex accounting transactions.
  • Prepares month end journal entries
  • Prepare, Review and Remit Government Remittances for various companies
  • Prepare and approve weekly bank reconciliations 
  • Assists in the preparation of working papers for periodic external and internal audits
  • Understand full cycle accounting including cash flow, AR, AP, payroll
  • Delegates and follows up on action items that fall within the realm of responsibility 
  • Manage and organize multiple work activities to meet established deadlines and priorities
  • Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are being followed
  • Review and enhance processes for inefficiencies
  • Adhoc and monthly reporting to the controller
  • Assist co-workers in the finance team during peak times
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:

  • Self motivated, Supportive and Positive team approach to resolutions
  • Completion of accounting diploma or degree
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in similar position 
  • Ability to display initiative and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skills – written and oral
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple intake channels efficiently 
  • Strong analytical skills and enjoys helping teammates problem solve 
  • Dependable in a team environment to meet monthly deadlines as required 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and understanding importance of accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and minimal supervision

Pipefitter Welder

This is a term position for work on one of our various sites throughout Manitoba including Snow Lake, and the ServcoCanada fabrication facility.  Welders must have industrial experience. 12 panel D&A testing for some sites is required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Welding and assisting in the fabrication and installation of pipe supports and piping systems
  • Follow all company and client safety policies

 

Qualifications:.

  • Knowledge of and ability to use all tools pertinent to the trade
  • Ability to read and follow weld procedures and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb stairs, scaffolding and able to work at heights including operating an elevated work platform
  • Ability to work in congested areas
  • Must possess current F3/F4, and F6 pressure tickets to apply
  • Must work well in a team atmosphere
  • Must have industrial experience
  • Possess valid drivers license
  • Must have or willing to maintain a CSTS, fall protection, and elevated work platform ticket or complete other safety training certificates required for duties
  • Must be clean shaven to wear a respirator as duties require

  • Maintaining log/reports including, site, production, time keeping, Daily Field Work report, WIP sign offs/status, and associated drawing sign offs.
  • As needed, participate in daily/weekly meetings with Project Team/Managers/Planners and support services regarding planning and progress reporting.
  • Responsible to ensure trained and qualified resources are effectively deployed, aligned and utilized increasing overall productivity.
  • Monitor Plan of Day field work assignments utilizing the Daily Field Report and provide daily progress updates against the expected completed work activities to the Project Manager.
  • Prepares work permits, leads Pre-Job Briefings and Post Job Reviews, or delegates this responsibility as needed.
  • May be required to rotate through an on-call schedule; act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for trades resources to respond to emergent issues after hours.

Candidate requirements include the following experience and education:

  • A two year Technical or University diploma/degree, or a Journeyperson trades certification with seven years of relevant experience.
  • Diploma in Health & Safety an asset
  • Experience in either road construction, underground service repairs/installations/removals, and or mass excavations
  • At least seven years of relevant experience, with at least five years of leading and executing field work.
  • Strong project supervisor track record
  • Familiarity with construction, remediation, demolition and building maintenance.
  • Familiarity with radiological work an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead large crews in various disciplines

The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office software programs and has good writing skills for report development, daily logs, OTOs (Order to Operate), RWPs (Radiological Work Plan) and work plans.
