We are looking to hire an experienced Concrete Finisher who can expertly pour, level and smooth concrete on a variety of surfaces.
Responsibilities:
– Cleaning and inspecting the surfaces for pouring issues
– Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver and concrete pump
– Pouring, screeding and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions
– Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process
– Applying sealing and hardening components
– Safely operating power vibrator to ensure concrete is compacted
– Molding and constructing expansion joins using joiners and edging tools
– Polishing surface using a power trowel
– Patching concrete walls and floors
– Sack rubbing walls
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• Minimum 8 years’ work experience as a concrete finisher
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours
• Ability to kneel for long periods
• Knowledge of hand-held and power tools including power vibrators, power trowels, concrete saws, and edging tools

Responsibilities:
• The Structural Steel Detailer will work on structural projects led by the Structural (Project) Engineers. The structural projects tasks will include:
o Making detail, assembly, weldment and fabrication drawings to structural industry standards (CISC or AISC)
o checking, revising and updating structural drawings
o Organizing drawing projects and working under the direction of the Structural Project Engineers to put together BOM’s and data lists. Proficiency in electronic file management is mandatory.
o Provide quotation support to the structural team
o Setting up and maintaining structural drafting standards
o Supporting the fabrication team with troubleshooting ongoing projects and cut lists
o Preparing and sending project submission packages
o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
o Minimum 10 years drafting / detailing experience in a structural design and fabrication environment
o Formal drafting training
o Formal AutoCAD training – preference given to those with modelling software such as Advanced Steel or Tekla
o Formal structural detailing training preferred
o Structural CET preferred
The ideal candidate will be a mature individual with 10 years of experience in structural detailing and design. Above average fluency and proficiency with English both written and spoken is mandatory. Ability to be proactive in any task undertaken, whether within a team or independently is a must. The individual must be willing to work in the office or field with very little guidance.

We are looking for a General Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered successfully and on time. They collaborate with engineers and subcontractors to define project needs and oversee staff performance.
The General Superintendent will also monitor projects from planning to completion, including tasks such as budgeting and scheduling. They follow quality standards and ensure the safety and security of the construction site.
Responsibilities:
Supervision of the actual physical construction of the project in strict accordance with the contract documents
o Plan construction processes
o Monitor and report on project progress
o Ensure the job site remains safe, clean and orderly
o Maintenance and planning of reports, work-arounds, shutdowns and tie-ins
Verification of safety compliance with all trades
o Implement safety and quality guidelines
Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance
o Keep track of material stock and orders
Resolution of jurisdictional disputes
Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget
Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback
Enforcement of safety and quality-control policies
o Plan inspections with local authorities
Direction and day-to day coordination of trade contractors, and their subcontractors when required, to ensure they turn out high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule
Maintenance of satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc
o Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, etc to determine project needs

Red seal carpenter previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role.

• Liaise with customers, engineers and project managers in an effective professional and respectful manner
• Provide mentoring and coaching leadership to up to 4 foremen and up to 40 crew members
• As a orientated leader; work with respective foremen to plan work in an efficient and effective order, coordinator with all key project stakeholders to optimize daily production in a safe and timely manner
• Review and adhere to construction schedules, ensuring progress reports, milestones and completion dates are met
• Propose solutions, and actively research new technology to develop solutions and create efficiencies
• Ensure all crew and department’s administrative requirements are completed properly and submitted on time
• Liaise with the Human Resource department on a variety of employee related issues, including employee development, recruitment, benefits, training, terminations, and investigations
• Ensure concrete crew’s compliance on daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections
• Lead by example on Health and Safety related policies and processes and ensure that the crews are compliant with OH&S practices
Qualifications:
• Completion of grade 12 or a high school diploma
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading concrete crews as a Senior Concrete Foreman or Superintendent, in a construction company; OR a minimum 5 years of experience leading large construction crews will be required
• Proven record of ability to promote cooperation and commitment with team they lead
• Experience with operation of a concrete related equipment will be required
• Must possess a thorough understanding of specifications and procedures; proficient in interpreting project plans, for placing and finishing concrete in a variety of municipal, commercial, and rural environments
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with a clean drivers abstract
• Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure; highly adaptive and flexible functioning in a dynamic work environment
• High attention to detail, professional communication skills with personnel, coworkers and clients. Ability to follow directions of management and promote organization’s goals and objectives
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
