Flood Mitigation Project in Fort McMurray
ServcoCanada’s Civil Construction division started work on an approximately $24.7 million flood mitigation project in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo, Alberta.
The region has a long history of overland flooding and flood mitigation is a major priority for the Municipality and residents. Work is currently being executed on Reach 5 construction area to build the riverbank to 1:200-year flood elevation or 250.4 metres above sea level, with an additional 0.5 m of freeboard.
