Foran Mining Paste Plant and Infrastructure Project

Foran Mining Paste Plant and Infrastructure Project

ServcoCanada is supporting the development of the McIlvenna Bay Project through the construction of a new paste plant and related infrastructure for Foran Mining Corporation.

Located approximately one kilometre south of Hanson Lake, the McIlvenna Bay Property is part of a long-term development plan that includes an underground mine, on-site crushing and processing facilities, a filtered tailings storage facility, and supporting utilities and buildings.

With a projected 20-year life of mine and a daily production capacity of 4,200 tonnes, this project represents a significant investment in Saskatchewan’s mining sector.

ServcoCanada’s teams are responsible for the installation of mechanical equipment, structural support components, piping systems, electrical systems, and instrumentation and controls. All major equipment is supplied by the owner, while our millwrights, ironworkers, pipefitters, and electricians are executing the full installation scope.

Electrical & Instrumentation

Our electrical crews are delivering a complete installation of the plant’s power distribution, controls, and electrical infrastructure, including:

  • Installation and termination of MCCs, external drives, medium- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, 600V distribution panels, and 120/208V service panels
  • NEMA VE2-compliant cable tray systems, instrument trays, supports, and strut structures
  • Lighting systems, service outlets, welding receptacles, and associated controls
  • Electrical heat tracing for pipes and equipment
  • Instrumentation and controls integration across the facility

Mechanical Installation

Our mechanical scope includes the full assembly and installation of a wide range of processing equipment and platework items, including:

  • Pumps, motors, filters, conveyors, thickeners, and related process components
  • Pump boxes, tanks, hoppers, bins, and assorted platework
  • Alignment, anchoring, and commissioning support for all mechanical assemblies
  • Piping Systems

ServcoCanada’s piping teams are installing all interconnecting systems that tie the plant’s mechanical equipment together, including:

  • Prefabricated carbon steel and stainless steel spools
  • HDPE pipe assembly and fusion
  • Fittings, valves, and inline components for hydraulic and lubrication systems
  • Pipe supports, hangers, and structural elements as required
  • Field welding, testing, and QA/QC documentation

Our Role

ServcoCanada is committed to delivering a safe, efficient, and high-quality installation that aligns with the project’s overall engineering and construction strategy. With experienced multidisciplinary teams and a long history of supporting mining and industrial clients across Western Canada, we are proud to contribute to the advancement of the McIlvenna Bay Project.
